For the last two weeks the Johnson Family has been graced by the presence of Meme & Pepe Audette! We have been blessed to have them here to celebrate Benjamin's second birthday, Pepe's birthday and Easter - what a fun-filled time! It has been a wonderful visit, and we are sad to see them fly home to Connecticut.
We enjoyed a few fun day trips while Meme and Pepe were here, including:
A trip to the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory. (We made it in this time!) Here is a picture of Ben and Pepe enjoying some homemade ice cream. (Ben enjoys peach or strawberry best.) Ben also enjoyed wearing his "official" ice cream hat.
Apparently a man visiting the factory owns a Ferrari, and doesn't mind other people sitting in it. He was kind enough to let Pepe try it out and let us take pictures. You don't see too many Ferraris in Texas.
March 31st is Pepe's birthday. This year Ben helped Meme make Pepe's birthday cake!
Finally, at the conclusion of our visit we all enjoyed a wonderful Easter service at our church. Despite Ben's serious face, he had a great visit with his grandparents. Thank you Meme & Pepe for traveling so far to be with us, and enduring two weeks on the guest futon. We love you and look forward to seeing you in June!
