For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11
Merry Christmas! This year the Johnson 5 celebrated Christmas in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. It was a multi-state adventure, and it was great fun. I'm posting a random collection of pictures of our time that I hope you enjoy.
Our Christmas celebration began in New Jersey. This year we started a new tradition - we baked Jesus a birthday cake on Christmas Eve and left Santa a slice. He seemed to enjoy it as he filled our stockings with great gifts!
Andrew really enjoyed Aunt Joanie's homemade ravioli during our Christmas celebration in New York, with the Malentacchi side of our family. We are so grateful for Emma and Todd's hospitality.
At this same party Gideon got to meet his cousin Trevor, who is just a month older. Gideon doesn't look so sure about all the attention, but Trevor says, "Ole!"
Benjamin and Andrew had a great time making Christmas cookies with Meme. We spent most of our time with Meme and Pepe in Connecticut, and again we are thankful for their eagerness to host the five of us - we've become quite a loud, smiley, silly family...and we eat a lot of food!
A sweet photo of two brothers...
Pepe and Andrew in their holiday best - shoes optional.
Gideon really enjoyed his Panda Book!
A sweet photo of Gideon and Uncle Joe...
The boys enjoying a book with Aunt Ashley, and this book talks back!
We had a white Christmas this year. Uncle Joe moved to California a few years ago and doesn't get to enjoy defrosting his car anymore, so we let him clean off our Matrix.
Gideon received a Veggie Tale movie based on his Bible namesake.
Smiles for Uncle Joe!
It was wonderful to spend time with Granny Lou this Christmas, who traveled all the way from San Fransisco. We enjoyed spending a special day with her and Great Grandma Mal.
The boys enjoyed reading with Granny. She always makes the books so exciting!
Hi Granny Lou, nice to see you, we love you!
Here the boys are picking out a special Christmas treat from Granny Lou's collection of snowmen and other Christmas ornaments.
Ben received a giant RC monster truck from Uncle Don this year - which was EXACTLY what he wanted. Here is a snapshot of two engineers in our family trying to figure it out. Perhaps they want a turn playing with it too!
Two great Dads - Todd and Dan - with the newest additions to our family!
