Do not be afraid. It isn't Frankenstein - it is Gideon's 1st Birthday Cake! And, it is supposed to match the funny monster on a t-shirt given to him by Natalie and Nevin - our dear friends from Brooklyn. The monster was one of our favorites, so I tried my hand at making it his cake design.
Anyway...
Happy Birthday Gideon! We love you so very much. You've made our house of boys complete. Here are a couple snapshots from Gideon's party. We were blessed to celebrate with Meme & Pepe, Uncle Aaron & Aunt Kimmy, Linnea, Natalie, Silas, and Mr. Josiah - our good friend from West Point who happened to be in Kansas for work. It was a fun time!

Gideon enjoyed eating his birthday cake.
And, he had the cutest helpers!
Thank you Uncle Aaron, Aunt Kimmy, Linnea, Natalie and Silas for my toy!
Thank you Granny Lou for my Gorilla and the book, Goodnight Gorilla.
Thank you Grammy Liz, Grampy Doug and Grace for my Hammer Toy!
I always smile when the bigger boys are SO interested in the "baby" toys.
Thank you Uncle Joe and Emily for the cool outfit. Now I have my own hat for the Christmas picture.
Thank you Meme & Pepe for my gifts and for introducing me to "Gideon the Duck."
