Andrew's Special Post

This is a post just for Andrew.  In the last year Andrew has adjusted to a lot of changes, the biggest obviously being the arrival of a new little brother.  He has had to be patient and wait for a lot of things - wait for Mommy to finish feeding the baby to play with him, wait for Ben to finish swimming lessons, wait for Ben to come home from school, wait to be old enough to do his own activities!  Now some of the waiting is over as Andrew is enrolled in gymnastics and swimming lessons.  He no longer has to sit on the sidelines - he gets to run, jump, swing and splash too!  And, he is having a blast.
Getting ready to jump!  Andrew still isn't old enough to partake in a class, but we go to open gym once a week where he can enjoy the equipment at his own pace. (Mommy reality check - if you look closely you might notice Andrew's pants are on backwards.  Oh well, at least we all got out of the house dressed in something!)
Um, maybe we won't jump today.

 Cheese!
So, once Andrew gets on the balance beam Mommy holds his hand while he walks across.  Mommy also has Gideon in a front-pack...we are quite a sight.
Swimming lessons!  Andrew enjoys swimming lessons with Mommy at the YMCA once a week.  They do not allow photos at the pool, so we practiced a bit in the living room today.  Andrew is very proud of his shark swim shorts.
This is how he likes to jump in...
Apparently this is his "bubble face".
And, this is Andrew showing off how he floats.  Andrew still has to wait for quite a bit, but we are excited to watch him experience a few new things special just to him.  He is a special boy, a little brother and a big brother all at the same time!
