Spring? Did someone mention spring in her last blog? That would someone would be me, and did God have a surprise in store for me yesterday. A real snow storm here in Texas!
All-in-all we received about 3 inches of snow. Classes were canceled. Students were having snowball fights on campus and snowmen started to appear in peoples front yards. It was quite an amazing phenomenon to experience here in Texas. Nothing like the tons of snow that have dropped on New England and Washington D.C. this year, but it was so unusual we enjoyed seeing every flake fall.
Benjamin had a blast playing in the snow. We also really enjoyed reading the story A Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats afterwards. (It's a cute book about the snow.) Here are some snapshots of the fun he had.

And, we had to have hot cocoa after a time out in the snow! I think Benjamin is a fan.
Yesterday was a fun reminder that God is in charge, and you never can know for sure what the day will bring. It also made us even more aware of the blessings of a warm home, good food and a healthy family.
