Congratulations Melissa & Phil!

Our week spent in Connecticut was primarily a trip to celebrate my cousin Melissa's wedding. Congratulations! Melissa & Phil coordinated a ceremony and a party that seemed to truly reflect their unique background and their love of each other. There was Catholic tradition, Jewish tradition, Polish and Greek tradition integrated into a touching ceremony, followed by a glamorous and fabulous reception! It was so much fun to be a part of their wedding. I had the honor of being one of her bridesmaids.

The wedding was also a wonderful excuse for Dan and I to get all dolled up and enjoy a night out. We were blessed with a wonderful babysitter for Ben, who came into Hartford to look after him. We could both relax and really enjoy being with each other. It was fun to be pretty for my husband and to dance together again!

Everyone got all dolled up! Below is a snapshot of Dan, me, Kathy (Meme), Dad (Pepe), Joe, Ashley (Sam's Girlfriend) & Sam.

A family wedding in Connecticut meant that we had the opportunity to visit with cousins, aunts and uncles...many of whom we hadn't seen since our own wedding. It also meant that Uncle Joe was in town. I enjoyed spending some time with my brother. Who, by the way, is a great dancer!

Melissa and Phil live near us in Texas, so we look forward to visiting with them soon. It was a wonderful night, and Melissa was a breathtaking bride.
