Christmas in the Desert! The greatest gift we received this year was the opportunity to spend about two weeks with our family in Tucson. What a blessing it was to spend so much time with Grammy, Grampy, Uncle Zach, Auntie Grace and to visit with Uncle Aaron, Aunt Kimberly and meet baby Linnea! And it was bonus blessings to spend quality time with G. Grandpa John, G. Grandma Janet and Cousin Laura (who is honorary Aunty Laura!). What a great way to celebrate the birth of our Savior - surrounded by the blessings of family.
(I'm not sure that "bonus blessings" is a biblical term, it would probably be more appropriate to quote scripture. [Our] cup runs over...Psalm 23:5)
Christmas morning was filled with the traditions of stockings, cheesy-egg casserole, choreg, and a quiet time of reflection with G. Grandpa John about the names of Christ in the Old and New Testament. Followed were hours of joyous gift giving - it was so much fun to watch Benjamin enjoy opening his gifts this year. He fell in love with this cowboy hat from Grammy. Can you tell Benjamin lives in Texas?
Thank you Doug and Liz for being gracious hosts! There is a saying that company, like fish, begins to smell after three days...and you cared for us lovingly for 14! We love you and thank you for hosting such a special Christmastime.
