Happy Birthday Danny! Today is Dan's birthday and it is tradition in our home for the birthday man, woman or child to pick out their birthday meal and special birthday cake. This year, as usual, Dan decided on spaghetti with meatballs, greek salad, and garlic bread. His cake of choice was homemade carrot cake. (If anyone read my facebook status Saturday night, that is why carrots were everywhere!) Oh, and another one of our birthday traditions is the "You are Special Today" plate.
Joining us in celebration this year were our friends Blake, Danielle, Nathaniel, Rainlilly, Cameron, Jenn, Aaron and Catherine. We had a full table and it was wonderful! Here is shot of most of our guests...I think I caught some with their mouth full.
No one ate any garlic bread this year because Rainlilly brought the most delicious homemade cheese and herb biscuits. They were so good!
And although Ben thoroughly enjoyed the meal that his Daddy picked out, we couldn't get him to smile.
Perhaps he was focused on getting more of that carrot cake!

Great spot for the "Johnson" sign! We love you guys; glad you had a good time celebrating Dan's birthday. 30...whew, that's getting up there! :)
