A Typical Week...

Good afternoon family and friends. There is nothing extraordinary to report from the Johnson household this week. No fabulous weddings attended or trips out of state, but we did complete what will be a typical week for us this semester. I thought it might be interesting to some folks to know what we'll be up to in the interlude of milestones or big ticket events.

Our week consists of classes for both Dan and I. Dan is revising his thesis along with taking his final three classes at TAMU. I am taking two night classes - sociology and the second half of anatomy. Marriage, parenting and the household are also full time jobs that Dan and I both enjoy. Furthermore we are preparing for our big move in May, which takes a fair bit of prep -both financial and physical (organizing, boxing, etc.).

I have to admit that coming into this semester I have been a little apprehensive. Dan and I have added a little more responsibility to our plate than in previous months and I was worried that it might be too much. However, this week was good. Praise God! We all made it through with energy and with smiles. (More or less.) Ben continues to thrive and we've had many special moments as a family. Best of all we've kept our focus on the Lord and sought His will for us.

"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:31-33

I know it won't be any easy semester by any means, but I pray that we are able to stay focused on what is truly important. It should be an exciting time. Our next blog will probably be in a couple weeks...after I recover from turning 30!
